QR Codes

I had the most wonderful idea today!! I refuse to take credit for the origination of the idea, because surely someone out in the library world has already done this....but I'm so excited about it, that I'm going to spread the news!!


Today I started creating QR codes to clip to books that are on display in my JH/HS library. I clip the codes to the book covers with cute squeeze clips found on the office supply aisle! When a student uses their cell phone to scan the code, they are instantly taken to a review of the book, or in some cases, a book trailer or the author's website.


Here is an example....

I'm going to purchase an index card box with alphabet tabs to file the codes in when the book gets checked out. When the book comes back in, we'll pull the code to put back on the book and back on display. 

Next goal....get more reviews up on my site, so that I can link the QR codes back to my blog!! Always work to be done!!!! LOVING IT!
