My answer: yes! I'll buy a book in spite of a review if it sounds appealing to me and especially if it's by an author I really enjoy!!!

ReplyDeleteYes, definitely. I might actually be inclined to seek out a book that didn't receive glowing reviews. I think there is a better chance of finding something original that way. Mainstream taste can feel stagnate at times.
